Peel the white turnips. Dice the peeled turnips.
Melt the butter in a flat 1.5-quart Corning Ware dish. Stir in the salt and caraway seeds. Toss the turnips in this mixture. Cover dish with glass lid.
Cook in an 1100-watt microwave oven on HIGH (100% power) for 8 minutes per pound, stirring once.
Let stand for 2 1/2 minutes before serving.
