Storing Fresh Lemon, Lime, or Orange Juice

After you have used whatever juice you need for your recipe, save the rest in the refrigerator.

To make the juice last longer by keeping it from going moldy quickly, strain the juice through a very fine sieve and discard the pulp. A stainless steel tea strainer is ideal, and a plastic funnel is a help. Cover the container and store in the refrigerator.

I use old glass spice jars for storage or lemon or lime juice, though they can leak if tipped over. So I place the spice bottles by the hinge of the refrigerator door. The orange juice usually needs a larger container such as a jam jar.
