Wash and dry the peppers. Remove the cores, seeds, and ribs. Cut the peppers into strips. Slice the onion.
Heat fat in frying pan (with lid). Add peppers, onion, and seasonings. Stir until mixed well. Cover and simmer until the peppers are tender, about 10 to 15 minutes altogether.
