Also known as precoooked medium grain semolina. Two parts (by weight) liquid, to one part couscous, is the ratio that works for us.
- 1 thin slice butter
- 12 ounces water (340 grams)
- 1 teaspoon bouillon crystals
- 3/8 teaspoon salt
- 6 ounces couscous (170 grams)
In a saucepan bring butter, water, bouillon crystals, and salt to a boil. Stir in couscous and cover. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff couscous lightly before serving.
